This is the site of the Pumpkin Cup Regatta in October as well as the new site for the Texas State Windsurfing Festival in early spring. A great launch in southeast or northwest winds. When the wind is straight out of the south it can get very choppy in a weird way - since much of it bounces off the bluffs of the shore line. The wind seems to be better north of Dallas where this site is. There are some pretty big rocks near the shoreline, so wear foot protection. To sail here as you please, you must become a member of DCYC or be accompanied by a member - this is not a public launch but the facilities and rigging area is excellent.
